Happy New Year!
It’s already 2012 and there are over 1400 cards released from Totem for the DesktopVideoPlayer software (not counting VirtuaGuy). 1167 for VirtuaGirl and the Classics. 265 for DeskBabes.
Starting out the new year I have selected Karina – Latino Party (79) as the first VirtuaGirl of the week for 2012. It’s my goal to keep updating these more often this year. 
Although this card is more than four years old now it’s still one of my absolute favorites. What can I say… Karina have that something extra that just makes me smile 
Focus 2012
Last year I took a long break from checking cards. My New Year’s resolution for 2012 is to change that and once again focus on reviewing cards.
The new version of the software released about a month ago allows for more direct control of the content. This and the fact that there are over 700 cards I haven’t rated yet means that I have plenty of work to do. For me to have some chance of ever catching up I have therefore decided to focus on doing quick reviews from now on.
I will on occasion do full reviews of cards I find extra attractive but for the most part I’ll only do quick reviews to sum up my over all rating of the cards. For me to catch up I’ll also focus on VirtuaGirl and DeskBabes cards at this time leaving the Classics for a later date.
As part of these changes I also plan to redesign my fan sites this year. The main site CivXL.net will stay the same but my VirtuaGirlLibrary.com and DeskBabesLibrary.com will both get a whole new design… hopefully with some added content and features in the process!
New Possibilities
If you’ve read my post from about a month ago you know that the new version of the software allows for much more control of the card content. This opens up for new possibilities to actively select each individual clip you want to play. This gives you direct access to easy control and to design your own shows.
Basically this is the info I, in the past, have tried to give via my in depth reviews of cards. Since this control now is available within the software I feel that my in depth reviews are no longer as important as before. This is one more reason why I in the future will focus on quick reviews.
2012 has just started. Let’s all make this a year to remember…
